Turnberry Adventures offers you the chance to experience a wide range of thrilling outdoor pursuits. Enjoy traditional favourites like horse riding, including our brand new lessons, air rifles, clay pigeon shooting, archery, and falconry, or try our 4x4 off-road driving and electric bikes.

All the activities are centred around the Turnberry Adventures Hub, just a short walk from the main hotel, and have dedicated areas within close proximity of each other. The activities are available to hotel guests and non-residents alike, and are perfect for those seeking a leisurely thrill. We also offer multi-activity packages for groups, be they corporate team building away-days, stag and hen activity days, or family celebrations.

Turnberry Beach

Just a short walk from Turnberry resort lies Turnberry Beach. With the famous Ailsa Golf course as its backdrop, Turnberry beach overlooks the beautiful Irish sea, Ailsa Craig and beyond. Spend the day trotting down the beach on one of our friendly horses. The beach is also very popular for keen walkers, with the Ayrshire Coastal path passing the beach. To the north, visitors can walk to Turnberry Lighthouse and enjoy a delicious light snack at the King of Scots, Halfway House.

Ayrshire Beaches

Ayrshire boast several beautiful beaches for guest to enjoy. Located 20 minutes down the coast, sits the beautiful Croy Shore. Almost a mile long, Croy offers fantastic views of Culzean Castle - the perfect place to spend the afternoon. Ayr beach is also a popular spot for holidaymakers as the lively esplanade offers ice cream and fish and chips for all to enjoy. There is also a fantastic adventure playground perfect for children. Other beautiful beaches to visit during your stay at Trump Turnberry include Dunure, Prestwick and Troon.

Local Golf Courses

There is no finer place to play a round of golf than the country that gave the game to the world. In Ayrshire there are several beautiful golf courses for guests to enjoy. Play a round at Prestwick Golf Club where the first Open Championship was held. Walk in the footsteps of the world’s greatest golfers at Royal Troon, Dundonald links, Western Gailes or enjoy a game on the beautiful Belisle course in Alloway.

Culzean Castle

This National Trust site is the perfect place for a family day out. Visit the historic Castle, surrounding picturesque gardens, visitor centre and recharge at the restaurant.

Galloway Forest Park

As well as walking, cycling and bird-watching, the park has the darkest skies in Europe, making it a superb place to view the stars and planets.

Heads of Ayr Farm Park

Take the children out for a day at the farm park with over 50 different types of animals, a magical castle and a play park with trampolines.

Dunure Castle

Explore Dunure Castle located only a short drive from Turnberry resort. Today the castle stands in ruins on a rocky promontory on the Carrick coast, overlooking the small harbour of Dunure. Enjoy the afternoon exploring the history of the Castle and the surrounding seaside town.

Arran

Visible across the water from the hotel, is Arran, also known as Scotland in Miniature. This small but fascinating island is easily reached by car and then the ferry from Ardrossan Harbor. Visit the distillery, taste the local beer, admire the standing stones of Machrie Moor, tour Brodick Castle, or climb to the top of Goat Fell.

Robert Burns Birthplace Museum

This National Trust site gives you the chance to learn about Scotland's National Poet. Visit the place he was born and see the places that inspired his famous work.
