The hotel has designated one special elevator traveling up to the hotel’s signature restaurant, Terrace 16, to be decked in everyone’s favorite holiday indulgences – gingerbread, candy canes, and more sweet treats. Envisioned by the hotel’s Pastry Team, the Gingerbread Express takes more than 450 hours to create. Guests riding the Gingerbread Express will be greeted by the sweet aromas of the season, celebratory holiday music, and more than 1,300 gingerbread bricks. The Gingerbread Express elevator originated in 2010 and has become a holiday tradition for guests, residents and restaurant patrons to enjoy every year. The Gingerbread Express Elevator is accessible to the general public! We highly recommend that you enhance your visit by making a reservation in advance at Terrace 16.
Elevator rides are complimentary, but any donations are greatly appreciated. All proceeds will benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, where no family is ever charged for their child's treatment, travel, housing, or food. Thank you for your generosity!
